Amazon Personally Identifiable Information (PII)
Amazon’s new security requirements now limit access to buyers’ Personally Identifiable Information (PII). Access to information such as buyer name, recipient name, and shipping address are now only granted on a must-have basis, primarily for tax and merchant-fulfilled shipping purposes.
All software providers including Webgility are required to comply with this new standard. We expect there to be an announcement and changes in Seller Central as well to reflect this policy change.
In order to comply with these new standard Webgility will be deprecating the billing information for Amazon Merchant fulfilled orders and both the billing and shipping info on Amazon FBA orders. You will also be prompted to remove this information on existing orders when you log into the software.
Changes to workflows withing the Webgility Software
1. Since the customer data is required for posting orders into QuickBooks, Xero or Netsuite a standard customer will need to be created and used for accounting purposes.
If you need assistance with this please call our support team at 877-753-5373 ext 3 (M/F 8AM- 5PM PST)
