This article lets you understand the process of configuring NetSuite transactions with respect to various posting options that you can use to customize how you want to post transactions in NetSuite.
To configure the posting options
1. In the Store Setup screen, in the Transactions screen section, click the Posting Options tab.
2. Under the Posting Options tab:
a. From the Transaction drop down box, click how you want to post the transactions.
Note: You can choose to post a transaction using any of the options: online order numbers, NetSuite numbers, online store PO number or Unify OrderId.
b. From the Set Transaction Data as drop down box, click what data you want to set.
Note: You can choose order date, shipping date or date of posting to NetSuite.
c. From the Set Item Description as drop down box, click how you want to post the item description in NetSuite.
d. From the NetSuite Memo Settings drop down box, click how you want to display the memo in NetSuite.
e. From the NetSuite PO# Settings drop down box, click how you want to post the PO in NetSuite.
f. If you want to overwrite the ship date, click which date you want to overwrite from the Overwrite Ship Date drop down box.
g. From the Set Payment Reference# as drop down box, click how you want to customize the payment reference number in NetSuite posting.
h. From the Set Payment Memo as drop down box, click how you want to display your payment memo.
i. From the Set Customer Message drop down box, click what customer message you want to display.
- The customer message option is displayed in HTML code.
- If you want to add a new message, click to add a new customer message in the Add Data to NetSuite dialog box.
