The archive in Unify Enterprise, is the storehouse of all the orders you have dealt with. Its highly recommended to archive all orders that you have dealt with, because too many orders in the order inbox is going to slow down the overall performance of Unify Enterprise. Additionally, if you decided to delete an order instead of archiving it, there are chances that the order can come back into the inbox if you backdate the order download.
Thus, archiving your order once you have dealt with it, is recommended not only for best performance, but also to nullify the chances of order duplication.
Remember, you can still do a post to your accounting software or a post to store from the archive, or perhaps move the order back to the inbox if needed.
