Packing Slips and Pick Lists is the last configuration screen, where you can set options to display how your packing slip and pick lists need to appear, apart from configuring the printer options for printing these slips and lists. You can accordingly select a printer to print the packing slip and add margins and font sizes.
Configuring the packing slip
You can configure two types of settings here: Template and Printer
Template Settings: These settings refer to the options such as your company logo, footer text, margins, font sizes, item details and order details that need to appear on your packing slip.
Printer options: These settings lets you customize how your packing slips needs to be printed. You can select the type of the printer, paper, margins that you want to set, orientation, copies to be printed and also other display options that you can customize as per your business.
To configure the settings for the packing slip
1. Under the default Template Settings sub-tab of the Packing Slip screen:
a. Click Browse next to the Company Logo field to select your file from the desired path of your system.
Note: The maximum size of the logo should be 180 x 80.
b. In the Footer Text field, type the desired text that you want to display on the packing slip.
Note: The footer text should not exceed more than 200 characters.
c. Under Display Options, click the desired options (checkboxes) to customize the display of your packing slip.
d. Under Item Details, click what item attributes (amount, weight, quantity and more) should be displayed.
e. Under Order Details, click what order attributes (order notes, customer comments, price details, phone number and more) should be displayed.
2. Under the Printer Options sub-tab:
a. From the Select Printer drop down box, click to select the desired printer.
b. Under Select Paper drop down box, click to select the appropriate paper format to display the packing slip in that format.
The width and height of the selected paper format gets displayed in the Width and Height drop down boxes respectively.
- The width and height corresponding to each paper format (Tabloid, Letter, Executive and more) has been pre-defined and gets displayed, based on your selection.
- However, if you want to modify the width and height of your paper, select the custom option from the Select Paper drop down box.
c. From the Orientation drop down box, click to select the appropriate display option.
d. Choose how many copies you want to print; and also set the font size from the Font Size drop down box.
e. Select other relevant checkboxes based on your business requirements such as Print on Thermal, Print Packing Slip without PopUp and more.
f. If you want to define the paper margins, select the appropriate values from the Left, Right, Top and Bottom drop down boxes.
To configure the settings for a pick list
1. In the Packing Slip screen, click the Pick List tab.
2. Under the Pick List tab:
a. If you want to group pick list items by vendor, item or order, select the appropriate option from the Group pick list items by drop down box.
b. Under Display Options, click what options you want to display in your pick list.
c. Under Printer Options, select the printer, paper format, margin size (width & height), number of copies and more in the respective fields.
d. Click Save & Close to save the settings in this screen (under all the tabs), closing the screen.
