This article outlines the workflows for manually downloading orders into the Webgility Desktop Software.
When in either of these views a button appears in the lower left "Get New Orders." Clicking the button will instruct the software to retrieve any new orders that have been placed since the last time it had checked. While downloading the orders a in progress status bar appears. Do not close this as it means the software is receiving information from the online channel.
If there are no new orders you will get a pop up letting you know. Click the OK button to dismiss it.
If there are new orders downloaded, they will populate into the Order View.
The drop down on the right of the "Get New Orders" button has two advanced options when selected:
- Orders by Range
- Orders by ID
Orders by Range:
When clicked the Orders by Range selection generates a pop up that has a date range in it. The pop up will slightly vary by the type of shopping cart or market place you have connected. Some carts will have a start and end date and others allow you to fine tune the download to the minute.
When you have selected your new date range click "Save & Close", then clicking "Get New Orders" will download orders from that specific date range.
Orders By ID:
This option is for precise downloading of specific orders from your shopping cart. When clicked this option has a pop up where you will be required to enter the specific ID of the order(s) you want to download into the Webgility Desktop Software.
After entering in an order number click add. Multiple order numbers can be entered but have to be added individually. Once they are entered click "Get Orders" to download the requested orders.
If you accidentally mistype or need to remove an order from the list you create, select it then click "Remove."
Note: On some shopping carts the Order ID is not the order number but a unique id in the store database. For example in the case of Shopify the order id can be viewed in the URL of the order when viewing it in the admin area of the Shopify store.
