Creating products in NetSuite

 Notes:

1. If your shopping cart supports variants, this screen will allow this to be setup.

Product variants are essential items with a parent and child that also have their own 'SKU', 'quantity' and 'price'. The child items may differ based on a certain attribute like size or color.

eCC Desktop enables you to specify a option, that can be used to automatically identify the 'parent' and 'child' items between your online store and NetSuite.

Based on the selection, you can create and synchronize the 'parent' and 'child' items using eCC Desktop.

In the 'Products' screen you can configure how to match online products with your NetSuite items, create products that are missing in NetSuite and set a default warehouse location for your inventory.

 1) Select Product Matching Criteria

The online store identifier is based on how your products are identified in your online store.  The most common way is SKU.

The NetSuite product identifier connects to what you have in the item name/number field.

Pro tip: If your online SKU and NetSuite product identifiers match, eCC Desktop will have no issues with syncing data.

Optional: Handling product variations

If your shopping cart supports variants, this screen will allow this to be setup.

 2) Configure how to handle missing products

Missing products are product that are located in the online store (and within orders) but they haven't been added to NetSuite yet.

eCC Desktop is able to use the matching criteria and create missing products in NetSuite during the post to NetSuite process. This can be done in one of four ways:

Option 1: Prompt to create the missing products or map it to another item in NetSuite: Under this option, in case if a product is not found in your NetSuite file or if there is a Name mismatch , eCC will prompt you to create a new product or map to an existing one!.

Option 2: Automatically create products in NetSuite if not found: If the product is not found in your NetSuite file, it will get created automatically (without you getting a prompt) based on your choice of 'Setup' options as in the picture below.

Note : This option will automatically create the product, even if the product is already in your NetSuite file, but cannot be detected due to a mismatch.

To create default settings for this option, select the 'Setup' button and configure the 'Default settings' as shown below:

Option 3: Use a standard product in place of the missing product: Use this option, if you prefer to use a default product for every new product not found in NetSuite. The drop down displays a list of all products in your NetSuite company file. eCC will use this standard product whenever a product from your online order does not match your NetSuite company file.

Option 4: Flag the order as an Error: Use this option, if you prefer to flag the orders where the 'Online store' product does not match any NetSuite products.

3) Using custom fields with products in NetSuite

If you are using custom fields within the product template in NetSuite, those fields can be mapped with corresponding option fields in the online store.

4) NetSuite Advance Inventory

This feature should be used if your product inventory in NetSuite is located in multiple warehouse locations.

Use this area to setup a general default location for all of your products. This feature is triggered during the post to NetSuite process.

Using the Product Sync Settings tab

Here you can choose various settings for 'Product Synchronization' and utilize them as default settings for synchronization.

Using the NetSuite and Store product item settings tabs

This area is used to setup default options when creating New (or missing) products in your online store or in NetSuite.

You can use these defaults options to while transferring items in bulk using eCC Desktop.
