"(500) Internal Server Error" preventing login

If you are not able to log in to eCC Desktop or Shiplark and see the error "(500) Internal Server Error" you will need to follow these steps:

  1. Windows XP or 7: Click on the Windows button on the bottom left of your screen. Windows 8: Windows key on your keyboard.
  2. Start typing "cmd" into the "Start search" box on the bottom next to the button.
  3. Hit enter.
  4. Type "ipconfig /flushdns"
  5. Hit enter.
  6. Restart your software and try to log in again. 

If you are still not able to log in, try these steps: 

  1. Make sure that you are using the administrator account on your computer
  2. Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
  3. Right click on the file named "hosts" and open with notepad (make sure to open as administrator)
  4. At the end of the text Copy and paste the following text: "54.186.139.3 portal.webgility.com"
  5. Save and close the file.
  6. Restart your software and try to log in again.
